Remove any old handles and hinges and sand it if it was painted, so that it looks rustic. Leave some of the original paint on the door to create a contrast in colour. Remove any dust with a big brush.

Use a piece of cardboard and cut a pattern according to the form of the kitchen cupboard’s doorframe in order to cut the wrapping paper according to this. Cut your wrapping paper to the exact sizes for the top side as well as the straight strokes for the long sides.

First paint a layer of acrylic gel unto the wood. Place the paper in position and paint another layer of acrylic gel on top of it to make it stick. Use your fingers to remove any air bubbles. Let it stand in order to dry. The gel will let the paper get smooth as it dries.

TIP: you can enclose your brush in a ziplock-bag while you work. The bag will keep it moist until you are able to wash it.

Go to a hardware shop and ask them to cut a metal plate according to the right size. Take a magnet with to test that it is magnetic.

Glue the metal plate on with No more nails. Place a heavy object unto the metal plate till it is dry throughout. To complement it you can use screws or nails to decorate it. This will also help to fasten the metal plate against the wood.

Finnish the note board off with a new handle, rusted keys and a ribbon that you hang around the new handle.

Wrap a pencil in the extra paper and place it on the door handle and place a note book on the board with a magnet.

Stick a piece of double-sided tape on the front of the tile and glue a collage-picture onto it. Cut off the excess on the sides and use a piece of sandpaper to finish it of nicely.

Decorate the tiles with the flowers and other decorations.

Glue a magnet to the back of the tile and let it dry thoroughly.

Finish the tile of with dimensional varnish to ensure a glassy look.

For the extra tiles you can cut out pieces of cardboard that is the same size as the tiles. Stamp different patterns onto the cardboard pieces. Decorate it further with glitters, paper flowers, recycled material such as wrist watch-faces and any other decorations in your hobby room.
